Sabancı University will graduate its 24th undergraduate and 27th graduate students at a ceremony to be held on its Tuzla campus on June 27, 2026. Students from the Faculties of Engineering and Natural Sciences, Arts and Social Sciences, and Sabancı Business School will receive their diplomas at the ceremony.
The ceremony, which will be attended by faculty members and student families, will begin with an opening speech by Hayri Çulhacı, Chair of the Sabancı University Board of Trustees, and a speech by Professor Yusuf Leblebici, President of Sabancı University. This year's guest of honor at the ceremony will be Prof. Dr. Ayşe Kıvılcım Coşkun, a 2003 graduate of Sabancı University and Director of the Center for Information and Systems Engineering at Boston University. A student chosen to represent the alumni will also give a speech at the ceremony, where awards will be presented to the top-ranking students of each faculty.

Prof. Dr. Coşkun is considered a global authority on energy efficiency in data centers
Prof. Dr. Ayşe Kıvılcım Coşkun, co-founder and Chief Scientist of Emerald AI, which is included in the 2026 Time 100 Most Effective Companies List, also serves as a Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Boston University. Prof. Dr. Coşkun also holds the position of Associate Dean for Research and Faculty Development at the Boston University School of Engineering. Considered a global authority on energy efficiency in data centers, Prof. Dr. Coşkun has pioneered work in flexible artificial intelligence and high-performance computing to strengthen the energy grid. Coşkun is also a member of Sabancı University's Distinguished Research Fellowship program. The participation of scientists like Prof. Dr. Coşkun, who conduct significant research in their fields, in this event makes a significant contribution to Sabancı University's goals of strengthening international research networks and developing interdisciplinary scientific collaborations.
